Beth Chapman Has Passed At The Age of 51
On Friday, June 21, 2019, Beth Chapman, wife of famed bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman was put into a medically induced coma after a choking incident, the second such incident in a year. It’s been reported that Beth was difficult to treat and doctors made the decision to induce the coma to inflict as little pain and suffering on her as possible while they tried to treat her.
Beth had been diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017 after going to the doctor. It was discovered that the reality TV Star had stage 2 throat cancer and needed emergency surgery. Doctors gave her a 50/50 chance of coming through. Tough-as-nails and determination as well as a credit to God saw her beat the cancer, and was declared cancer free. The fight was chronicled on the TV series: Dog and Beth, Fight Of Their Lives.
Duane Chapman was overjoyed, and the couple continued on with life, family and TV.
“Part of me feels it’s hard to believe that I had it, part of me thinks it’s hard to believe it’s gone. I had a doctor’s appointment just recently where they went in and checked and did another scope down my throat, and the doctor said that it looks like I’m in good condition now… She got the margins all the way around it and she recommended that I keep my talking to a bare minimum, like 15 minutes an hour, and keep all the stress out of my life right now.”Beth Chapman to InTouch Magazine
Unfortunately, a year later, Dog had to rush Beth back to the hospital due to a blockage in her throat. Doctors told them that the cancer had returned. Beth Chapman was admitted and went through another surgery. Doctors had to cut a hole in her throat so she could breathe properly. The pair then returned to their home in Colorado. Beth Chapman loves it there and preferred to be home where she could enjoy herself and feel free.
“She’s much more comfortable now she can breathe, but she just wanted to come back to Colorado, she loves it here. They told us they didn’t want her to leave the hospital, but she was adamant, she just wanted to be home. We have the test results coming in tomorrow.”Duane “Dog” Chapman
After returning home, Beth insisted on continuing her work with her husband.
“She has told me repeatedly that if these are her last days on earth she wants to spend every moment with me on the hunt, living life to the fullest and enjoying the time we have left together. My baby has cancer and she is fighting like hell. I have cried a lot over this because Beth is my everything. Despite all of the obstacles I have overcome, this is by far the biggest test of my life and mark my words, I will not let her die … She is my rock and my bodyguard. I will do everything I can to keep her here.”Duane “Dog” Chapman to The Daily Mail After Beth’s Second Diagnosis With Cancer
So, here comes the reason for this article, because, frankly, many of you already knew this. It’s on every single page out there. Every news outlet climbs on and regurgitates the same story over and over. Nothing that was presented here really is new news.
It’s true: Beth Chapman has left the world, hopefully to a much better place without hate, surrounded by love.
It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.— Duane Dog Chapman (@DogBountyHunter) June 26, 2019
Beth Chapman was a woman of her own. She’s was a tough broad. We mean that in the best possible intonation of the word. She was strong, fierce, independent and took shit from nobody. She stood up for what is right and just and she was beautifully imperfect like the rest of us.
She put her man in his place (Sorry Dog, you know that’s true), she kept her brood in line and she spoke from the heart. Now, that’s why we loved her here at Fireviral. What we didn’t realize was the absolute outpouring of love from so many people. We ran a story, much like the rest of the news outlets did, but were BLOWN AWAY by the response from you, our readers.
Never before have we seen such an emotional response to a celebrity before. But, Beth Chapman was more than a celebrity. She was a friend we watched on TV. We followed her on Social media and we laughed with her and cried.
We will post a sympathy card link at the bottom of this article- We are going to make a video montage and get it to the Chapman Family.
It’s because she was flawed that we loved her. She was the perfect example of imperfection. She’s was you and she was me. She was a frustrated mother. A happy wife. She loved animals and she believed in justice and being on the right side of society, while intermingling with the wrong side of society.
In that intermingling, she showed us her true self. The self that in one minute is cursing you up and down, calling you trash, heckling you- but it was a means to an end. Brash? You bet. Ballsy? Damn right. But, there’s a method to that madness. She needed to get on the side of the devil to get you on the right side with God. She let her soul get taken over by darkness, to allow others to see the light.
How many times have we watched Beth go off on someone, to turn the table around COMPLETELY after a successful fugitive apprehension to mete out her own brand of justice: tough love. It didn’t matter if you were well known to her or not. She had to get personal with these folks, because her job demanded it. In the process she got to know the families and friends of those she was helping to capture, and in doing so, she learned about the person. And she let them have it with both barrels when she got ahold of them. Beth was a master of the guilt trip. But it’s so much more- she was being real.
She had such a unique way about her- and so many looked up to both Beth and Dog. Hers was an amazing story- a story of love, excitement, tragedy and fierce loyalty. A story of a family that is real and raw, just like the rest of us. Beth didn’t put on airs in any way. She was what she was, take it or leave it. In today’s world, there is something refreshing about that.
No stranger to drama, she took on her family as passionately as she did a wanted fugitive- why? Because she knew not how to be passionate- She knew what was right for her babies, and when she saw the mistakes, or the heartache, she called it out.
Because she doesn’t answer my calls and has us blocked so I’m going to reach my child how e Er I see fit GOT THAT MR WRIGHT https://t.co/NHJVuwRPA8— Beth Chapman (@MrsdogC) May 23, 2019
Which leads me to why would anyone care about Beth Chapman? My answer is very simple. Because she was everything that is right about being:
And One Tough Badass:
